Accessibility and privacy
Built for everyone
We want everyone to be able to learn about, shop for and safely use Cargo Clamp, including people who are blind or have low vision, people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and people who use a keyboard, switch or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- Screen readers: every page uses headings and landmarks, product illustrations have text descriptions, and changes like "added to cart" are announced.
- Deaf and hard of hearing: the how-to video has no sound. Every step appears as on-screen text, a captions track is in the player menu, and a full text version sits right below the video.
- Blind and low vision: the text version of the video describes each step, text meets AA contrast, and the page still works when zoomed to 200%.
- Keyboard: everything works with Tab, Enter, Space and Escape. A "Skip to main content" link appears first, and focus stays inside open windows like the cart.
- Motion: product animations play only when you hover over or focus a product. The hero animation has a pause button, and all animation stops if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Printed guides: the same steps from our pamphlet and card are on the home page as plain text.
